Today, BK Bansal along with his son put an end to his life. Both took this extreme step due to the incessant torment and harassment of the family by the high officials of CBI who were investigating bribe allegation against them. This was stated in the suicide note by B K Bansal.

The duo committed suicide at their house on Tuesday which is known as Nilkanth Apartments and it is situated in East Delhi. Around 9 a.m. the house maid found the bodies hanging. The constant probe was the reason behind the suicide as they were in great tension due to investigation.

The Central Bureau of Investigation arrested Bansal, the Director General of Corporate Affairs, in July on suspected accusation of corruption and trying to scamper an investigation against a Mumbai-based Elder Pharmaceuticals. He was accused as having accepted bribe from that pharmaceutical company.

The investigative agency CBI has lamented the sudden death of Bansal and informed that the case was handled by the local police.

Bansal’s wife Satyabala Bansal, 57 and daughter Neha Bansal, 27 were also found hanging from ceiling fans in different rooms of their first-floor flat in Neelkanth Apartments in Madhu Vihar area. They had also committed suicide in July due to the disgrace the CBI incursion caused.

Bansal was arrested but unconfined on bail. CBI had call upon him for further enquiry on Wednesday.
